セーターに見えるけれど、実はTシャツと同じ編み方でできている。そう聞くと、ちょっと騙された気分になる人もいるかもしれない。
作り手は今年、起毛をするかどうかでかなり悩んだらしい。起毛すれば温かみは出るけれど、中に着たシャツが引っかかりやすくなるし、コストも上がる。悩んだ末に、今回は起毛無しで作ってみたという。結果はというと、本人いわく「起毛有りと比べないとわからない」。今までの苦労は何だったのか、と自分で首をかしげているらしいが、そういう試行錯誤は、傍から見ている分には結構おもしろい。
シルエットも大きく変わったという。身幅を出しつつ、裾に向かってすぼまる「コクーン」型。レディースの服を見ていて「これだ」と思いついたそうだ。アイデアというのは、案外、畑違いの場所から降ってくるものらしい。

Looks like a sweater. Actually a cotton cut-and-sew, made from thick jersey knit with several heavy yarns fed through the machine together.
This year, no brushing on the fabric — less snagging on the shirt underneath, less cost, and it barely changes the feel.
New cocoon silhouette: roomy through the body, narrowing toward the hem. No rib at the cuffs, tapered instead so it doesn't flap around.
100% cotton. Made in Japan. Available in White, Fade Black, Navy, and Orange.
